This document describes some new commands for the picture environment of
L<SMALL>A</SMALL>T<SMALL>E</SMALL>X. Some of the picture drawing commands of
L<SMALL>A</SMALL>T<SMALL>E</SMALL>X are very low-level. New higher-level commands are implemented and
described here. These commands enhance the graphic capabilities of
L<SMALL>A</SMALL>T<SMALL>E</SMALL>X and provide a friendlier and more powerful user
interface than currently existent. Their implementation has been done
with the aim of reducing the amount of
manual calculations required to specify the layout of <#32#><I>objects</I><#32#>.
With the addition of the commands described in this document, it should be
possible to draw
more sophisticated pictures with lesser effort than was previously possible.
